El Solitario have some amazing bikes in progress right now. They last creations are Baula and the Winning Loser. The new bike make me nervous. It called El Trimotoro!
Commissioned by a "special client" as El Solitario says, the Trimotoro was to be the exact opposite of neat: it had to be as different form all the "perfect" bikes out there as possible, while retaining the solid performance the old Moto Guzzis have been known for. So the '85 V65 was forever changed, though it took El Solitario more than one year and countless revisions and re-makes for almost all the parts.
Vintage, steampunk, straightforward, in-your-face, you name it, the Trimotoro's got it. On the tech side, the bike received a solid overhauling for engine, shaft, gearbox and brakes (of which the rear pump is sourced from a GSX-R). New DellOrto carbs with velocity stacks have been installed, and all cables and wiring is new, including a Motogadget Chronoclassic gauge, Lumax lights, Akront rims, Marzocchi rear shocks and updated fork suspensions.
The most striking thing about the El Solitario Trimotoro is obviously, the bodywork, with the edgy and uncanny tank, and the gill-cover-like rear cowl. And as the rider steps down from the bike, the Nappa leather seat with triple leather belts shows even more amazing detail.
