Do you know what skill I consider the most useful and important in our life? Well, an ability to craft things and create unusual mechanisms. Moreover once (or even more times) it can save your life.
It happened to a Frenchman named Emile who reportedly found himself stranded in the deserts of Northwest Africa after breaking a frame rail and a suspension swingarm underneath his Citroën 2CV.

But our hero didn’t get lost in the situation, because deadly thirst and scalding rays of the Sun is not the end Emil wanted to have in his life. As the story goes, Emil disassembled his car and crafted a kind of motorcycle, so he was able to use the inventive machine to escape the desert, though not before convincing the local authorities that he wasn't an insurgent and paying a fine for importing a non-conforming vehicle...

Since Emile was the only soul in the area, nobody has been able to confirm the veracity of the events that led to the little French runabout's conversion into a makeshift motorcycle. That said, judging by the images you can see here , this Citroën-bred two-wheeler does indeed exist, and it was definitely fashioned from parts scavenged from an old 2CV.

This vehicle reminds me of those strange after-Armageddon-vehicles. And by the way, guys, I hope you learned a lesson – improve your crafting skills, because any time you can get into a desert trouble.
