In 2010 Artem from Orenburg, Russia, purchased his first 1978 GAZ 24 for $200. Judging by the price, you can imagine its terrible condition. The body, interior, chassis, gearbox and engine – everything was a mess.

To be able to drive this car you should have been a very tough man. The engine was always overheated and sometimes it was impossible to brake. Nevertheless, Artem decided to fix this car and make it shine again. He wanted to turn this rusty pile of metal into something really attractive.

That’s how the magic started. First of all the owner fixed the engine. In fact, he found a brand new original 24D engine and a new gearbox. To make the handling possible, Artem fixed the suspension and added a few polyurethane bushings and levers.

When he finished with the filling, he started working on the car’s look. The body was painted orange, and the roof remained white. Unfortunately, sometimes there are circumstances, which we cannot take control of, so Artem was involved into a pair of road accidents, so he had to start his work again.

That time he started with the body, which was completely rebuilt. Then, he added wide arches and stylish American wheels, typical for lowriders. Colors remained the same: orange and white, but this time he used high-quality paint, so now the body shines like the sun.

Speaking of lowriders, every car of this type needs an air suspension. Artem has chosen a high-quality smoothly adjustable air suspension.

The interior was also reconsidered. Artem made a good noise insulation, which blocks all the wild noise made by the engine. The trunk was blessed with crocodile leather and laminated planks.

This is how Artem turned a dying GAZ into an amazing car, which, as you can see on those pictures, is highly appreciated, especially among girls.
