This Ram in contrast to many restyle versions has not only skin-deep changes, but new filling with powertrain upgrades that have never been offered on pickup trucks until now. <img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8473.jpg" />  Most of the changes are aimed to fuel-save and include such things as an 8-speed automatic transmission, stop-start, improved aerodynamics, electric power steering, grille shutters and an auto-adjusting air suspension, which allows to lower the vehicle by <st1:metricconverter productid="1.2 inches" w:st="on">1.2 inches</st1:metricconverter> (<st1:metricconverter productid="3 centimeters" w:st="on">3 centimeters</st1:metricconverter>). <o:p></o:p> <img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8474.jpg" /><img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8481.jpg" /><img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8482.jpg" />  Another novelty is 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 as the base powerplant with 305 horsepower and 269 lb*ft of torque. According to the Chrysler's statements the new V6 will improve fuel efficiency by at least 20% compared to the old 3.7-liter model. <o:p></o:p> <img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8475.jpg" />  5 more horsepowers gained Chrysler's tried-and-true 5.7-liter Hemi, which now produces 395 hp and 407 lb*ft of torque. This new rate is achieved thanks to the new electric power steering. <o:p></o:p> <img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8476.jpg" /> Chrysler will announce official fuel economy numbers closer to the Ram's on-sale date, but it's believed that thanks to  new 8-speed automatic transmission the model will boast 20% better fuel economy. <o:p></o:p> <img alt="" src="./uploads_user/1000/282/blog/blog_8477.jpg" />  Additional improvements include upgraded exterior styling, a richer-looking cabin and a stiffer chassis that promises decreased noise, vibration and harshness.
