Henrik Fisker presented his EMotion at CES. The coupe is supposed to go further than the competition - and it combines scissors with gullwing doors. What is the Most Spectacular Automobile Premiere at the CES Trade Show in Las Vegas?

Hot candidate is the Fisker EMotion. A purely electric, four-door coupe and a possible competitor of the Tesla Model S. The car should come at the end of 2019 with prices starting at $129,900 (around € 108,000 ) on the market - with about 260 kph top speed and about 640 kilometers range. What should the Fisker have ahead of the competition? It uses other batteries, so-called graphene -based supercaps.

780 HP FROM TWO ELECTRIC MOTORS

The first electric model under the name of the former BMW and Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker was shown in 2011 — the Karma, a sports car with electric drive and petrol engine as a range extender. The Karma inspired celebrities like Leonardo diCaprio, but never came into the profit zone. After 1,800 copies the production ended.

In 2013, the bankruptcy came for the Californian company, in 2014 a Chinese new owner. No reason for Henrik Fisker to give up. He does not change the concept of "a lot of money for money". In EMotion, e-motors on both axles provide a total of 557 KW (about 780 hp). 100 kph the four-door coupe should reach in less than three seconds.

No matter how far (or fast) the production model of the EMotion will actually drive: With its front scissor doors and classic rear wing doors, it offers more extravagance than the competition.
