Soon we all will start speaking about traffic jams in the air. Few months ago the issue of flying vehicles was tackled by me in my previous article. And now the subject has a continuation – the flying car Terrafuga Transition finished its first round of Federal Aviation Administration certification flight tests (there are five more rounds to go) at Plattsburgh International Airport in New York, and is headed for on-road drive testing.
The Transition was supposed to start deliveries by the end of this year at a cost under $200,000. The price has swollen to around $279,000 and while Terrafugia is happy to accept your deposit, but if I were you, I would wait when the tests come to the end.
