EcoMotors Company developed new turbo-diesel engine which is very effective and powerful! It is 30% lighter, by a quarter smaller and uses twice less fuel than the modern diesel engines.
The prototype which is developed by EcoMotors has 2 100-mililitres cylinders, reaches 325 horsepowers and its maximum torque is 900 Nm at 2100 rpm! The construction of a new two-stroke engine allowed to make it compact and get rid of the valve train and cylinder head. Its elegantly simple design allows for low cost, efficient manufacturing and increased operating durability. So we see the following advantages:
-Lightweight with high power density (produces more than 1 hp per pound of engine weight)
-Low emissions
-High fuel economy
-Simplicity of design for manufacturing efficiency, economy and operating durability
50-percent fewer parts than a conventional engine
Straightforward assembly
No cylinder heads or valve train
Uses conventional components, materials and processes
-Inherently low noise and vibration
All engine forces counteract each other
Runs as a fully balanced 4-cylinder 4-stroke engine
At this time, EcoMotors International is developing two versions of the OPOC engine, named EM65 and the larger, more powerful EM100.
But no one knows when the engine will become a serial one, not a prototype. Let's wish the company good luck!
