It’s great piece of news for those who ever wished to install a supercharged V8 engine into his\her karting. Conley Precision Engines company has developed and launched into production a small supercharged V8 engine with dual carburators and a functional serpentine belt.
The Stinger 609 is a name for the new engine. It revs to 10,000 rpm and produces all 9 horsepower! The smallest functioning state-of-the-art V8 is 14 inches (35cm) long from tip to tailshaft, just under half as wide and sits 10 inches (25cm) tall. It tips the scales at 11.25 pounds (5.10 kilograms).
The only big thing of the smallest engine is its price – for about $7,000 it will available for you right from the Conley Precision Engines factory.
