Time for a ride with a parts list as long my yearly to-do list! This Pianura wearing 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle convertible has been customized with nearly every available custom part – correction, nearly every available quality custom part.

To start, Spec The Techniques 72’ got a bit of a splash with a blue that’s reminiscent of the factory “Mulsanne blue” that is still one of the best factory colors released by any car maker. The familiar and feared “SS” symbol and badging are front and center on the grille and fenders throwing caution to any one looking to dance from one street light to another. And caution they should take because this 72’ ain’t your run of the mill 427. If 7 liters of LS7 power doesn’t strike fear into your heart, perhaps you should check your own pulse or head on over to the local mental institution. Either way, you’re going to see the back license plate of this thing.

When the LS7 breathes out, it does so through the growl of a 3” stainless steel exhaust that snakes by the B&M transmission using a stall converter that feeds the 22” Pinura’s wearing not-so-humble 295/25/22 tires. After a blip of the pedal on the right, the low profile tires will be even lower profile considering the amount of power this enormous power plant produces.

Sounding good, looking good, and driving good was the effort of master craftsmen Mike Crawford (paint), and Nick Source (interior), with mechanics performed by the maniacal Dallas Performance who then handed the Chevelle over to Fort Worth Gear and Axle, ensuring that power transfer was as smooth as the tan custom leather hugging the driver and passengers.
