Are you looking for a car as a gift for your girlfriend, and consider Dodge Ram as "too male" vehicle? Or you want to by a car for yourself and scare that guys on the hood will criticize you with a "chick car"? But what does expression "chick car" mean? To me this word is associated with the all model line of Peugeot or Daewoo Matiz (and other city hatchbacks).
But now we have scientific evidence of our thoughts. The Inside Line prepared special list of the most popular cars among women.
Top ten 2011 models with the highest proportion of female buyers
Volvo S40 - 57.9%
Nissan Rogue - 56.9%
Volkswagen Eos - 56.4%
Volkswagen New Beetle - 54.6
Toyota Matrix - 54.1%
Hyundai Tucson - 54%
Honda CR-V - 53.4%
Toyota RAV4 - 54%
Nissan Juke - 52.7%
Jeep Compass - 52.7%
Actually, I was surprised when I saw the first place taken by Volvo S40. The appearance of this car doesn't look too feminine. However, as far as Volvo is going to cut its model line s40 got under the axe. Seems next year we will see another car on its place, but what will it be, what do you think?
And about a half of all the places are taken by various crossovers, what makes me think that the most of females wants to be protected and feel safe while driving =)
All listed cars are represented below respectivelly.
