Famous automobile company, Ford, has finally showed the official photos of the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor. Spy pictures of the much talked about the new high performance truck has only been unofficially available through some sources. The new F-150 SVT Raptor is said to house the better variant of its predecessor F-150’s 5.4 liter Triton V8 three-valve engine. A new 6.2 liter Boss V8 engine is also included in the lists of latest offerings from the said company.

Ford also said that their latest F-150 model’s engine was subjected to a series of extensive and thorough tests at their own dynamometer laboratory. Better horsepower while on tow, decreased emissions and improved fuel economy are just among the features of the new Triton engine.

The automobile company also said that they have focused great attention to the new F-150’s suspension and chassis. The new model is said to have expansive track and softer suspension—features that will enable the unit to smoothly glide road obstacles.

Fox Racing Shox is reported to have designed the truck’s suspension dampers. This means that the Ford Raptor is the only street truck with internal bypass shocks. The said feature will prevent the unit from being bottomed out while on travel. The truck also has 35-inch BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA/KO 315/70-17 tires. Such tires are designed for both on and off road travel.

Ford is also proud to announce that the Raptor has added features like Trailer Sway Control, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Locking Differential, Auxiliary Switch, Off-Road Mode, and an Integrated Brake Controller.

Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant in Rouge Center located at Dearborn, Michigan will facilitate the production of the new F-150 SVT Raptor.
