Some individuals really worth to be buried with honors. But sometimes even cars do so. Take for example Bluey, a 30 years old Honda Civic which made its last way itself in a New Orleans-style.
Riddled with rust, the battered and buckled Honda of 1982 as put to rest last week in Inwood, NY, and got a junkyard sendoff worthy of a lifelong friend. It got a name of Bluey for its sky blue exterior (which now tuned in a rust).
Bluey survived a three-car accident in the '80s and then was flipped by rioters in Washington Heights in 1992. But Ettling always got his Civic up and running again and kept on driving it.
The last question we asked Civic’s owner Harry Ettling:
- Harry, what will be your next car?
- I'm not getting a new car, I need time to heal.
